TAP Charity Service Day, Mumbai – a Festive Volunteering Activity
Yesterday, TAP Charity teamed up with Asha, Mumbai, a non-profit organisation based in Powai, to make sandwiches for children from the nearby slum communities around IIT Mumbai.
Asha, Mumbai , strives to provide varied learning experiences to underprivileged children. One of its most valued facilities is the Computer Lab, where students receive training in both basic and advanced computer skills — empowering them with tools for a brighter future.
During this festive season, volunteers from both Asha and TAP Charity came together in the spirit of giving, preparing sandwiches for the youngsters. The sandwiches were a special treat not just for the children, but also for the NGO staff who got some help and appreciation from the volunteers through this exercise. We were able to prepare enough sandwiches for distribution in the area as well.
Fun fact – volunteers were teamed up on the basis of the colour of their clothes and strangely there were exact matches as can be seen from the vibrant pictures 😯😯. Needless to say, the sandwiches were yummy, and we went home with our hearts and stomachs full!
TAP Charity team members, Karon, Rajesh and Vikram , it was great meeting you!!
Rupesh Nagda , thanks so much for your help yesterday.
Mudita Dixit and Parul Shah , we are grateful to both of you for passing the word amongst friends and TSEC faculty.
