Chalti Firti Bansa Library – simple yet powerful concept that has taken hold and fuels the curiosity of every child, youth, adult and senior within the 100 mile radius of Bansa in Uttar Pradesh, India.
The operation of these libraries is designed to be locally managed by the community members, with remote support provided by volunteers and patrons. Through its activities, the Bansa Community Library seeks to imbibe a feeling of empowerment, strength and awareness among the children and the adults through the books. The library requests support to build a sustainable library program that expands access to books and promotes thinking through reading, and accepts donations of Hindi, Urdu, and English books, covering both fiction and non-fiction genres. In recognition of Jatin’s relentless pursuit of progress, compassion and innovation he was awarded by ALFA Awards and Idobro as the Education Changemaker of 2025.
